AL leader hacked dead in Kishoreganj

Kishoreganj Correspondent: A local Awami League leader was hacked to death by miscreants in Bhairab upazila of Kishoreganj on Saturday night.

The deceased was identified as Manik Mia, ward no-8 Awami League general secretary of Sadekpur union.

Sources said that the victim went to Mendipur dam area around 9:30pm. Meanwhile, miscreants attacked him following previous enmity, leaving him dead on the spot.

Locals rushed to the spot and caught two of the attackers and handed over to police.

Police recovered the body around 11:00pm and sent it to Kishoreganj Hospital for autopsy.
