AL nominates Rezaul Karim for Rangpur-3

Senior Correspondent: Ruling Awami League has nominated Rezaul Karim Razu to contest in the by-polls of Rangpur-3.

The decision came at a meeting of Awami League Parliamentary board and local government nomination board at Gono Bhaban on Saturday evening.

Awami League Joint General Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif confirmed the matter to risingbd.

The seat was declared vacant after the 90-year-old Ershad, the leader of the official opposition in the 11th parliament, died on July 14.

Awami leader and activists are expecting that the AL candidate will get the seat with Boat symbol.
