Abahani Ltd create history, beat Minerva Punjab

Sports Desk: History was created at the Indira Gandhi Athletics Stadium in Guwahati, India on Wednesday, as Abahani Limited beat Indian Club Minerva Punjab in last group stage match of AFC Cup.

Abahani reached the second round for the first time through the victory.

Masih Saighani's goal in added time propelled Abahani Limited Dhaka a place in the 2019 AFC Cup Inter-Zone Semi-finals. He secured the only goal from Kervens Belfort with a headed pass following a corner at 90+3 minutes.

Winning 4 of 6 matches, the Bangladeshi Club put their names in second round of AFC Cup.
