Abida Islam new Bangladesh envoy to S. Korea

Secretariat Correspondent: The Government has appointed Abida Islam as the next Ambassador of Bangladesh to the Republic of Korea.

In a press release of the external publicity wing of the foreign ministry confirmed the matter on Wednesday.

A career diplomat, Abida belongs to the 15th batch of BCS Foreign Affairs Cadre. In her diplomatic career, she served as Deputy High Commissioner of Bangladesh at Bangladesh Deputy High Commission in Kolkata, said the Foreign Ministry on Wednesday.

She also served in Bangladesh missions in London, Colombo and Brussels in different capacities.
