Abrar murder: Hearing on charge framing Jan 30

A Dhaka court has fixed January 30 the hearing on charge farming in the case filed over death of BUET student Abrar Fahad.

Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge KM Imrul Kayes fixed the date on Tuesday.

22 accused were produced before the court on the day.

Abrar, a second-year student of Electrical and Electronic Engineering department of BUET, died after he was allegedly beaten by some Chhatra League men brutally at a dormitory of the university.

The incident triggered a firestorm of protests on campuses across the country. Many took to social media to demand justice for Abrar.
