Staff Correspondent: A Dhaka court on Sunday sentenced three people to life imprisonment for throwing acid on a married woman and her minor daughter in December 2016.
Dhaka District and Sessions Judge SM Kuddus Zaman passed the order on Sunday.
The convicts are- Husband Suruj Alam Khan, his friend Shafiul Islam Liton and Halim Hawladar alias Selim Hawladar.
The court also ordered Suruj Alam to pay TK. 50 lakh penalty.
According to the case statement, on April 7, 2016, Suruj Alam threw acid to his third wife Subarna Aktar and daughter following family feud.
Later, acid victim filed a case with Rupnagar police station and police detained Suruj Ali and others.
