Actor ATM Shamsuzzaman hospitalized

Staff Correspondent: Popular actor ATM Shamsuzzaman has been admitted to a city hospital due to health complications.

Razib Ahmed, Customer care service officer of Asgar Ali Hospital said, ATM Shamsuzzaman was taken to emergency department of the hospital on Friday afternoon.

He is currently taking treatment at surgery department, Razib Ahmed said.

However, he could not say details about the physical condition of the eminent actor. 

Born on September 10, 1941, in Noakhali’s Doulatpur, he began his venture by playing the character of Ramzan in the play Shangshaptak which was aired in 1960.

ATM Shamsuzzaman was honoured with the state’s highest honor ‘Ekushey Padak’ in 2015.
