Afghanistan set 168 target for Bangladesh

Sports Desk: Afghanistan set 168-run target for Bangladesh in the 1st T20I of their three-match series at neutral venue Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Dehradun, India on Sunday.

Abul Hasan and Mahmudullah took two wickets each conceding conceding 40 and 1 run respectively for the tigers.

This is the second T20I between the two teams, with Bangladesh winning their only match during the 2014 World Twenty20 in Dhaka.

There are some individual milestones waiting for Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan. If Shakib can get two wickets in the first match, he will become only the third cricketer after Shahid Afridi and Jacques Kallis to take 500 wickets and score 10,000 runs in all formats of international cricket.

Afridi and J Kallis needed more than 500 matches to reach the millstone while this will be Shakib's 300th game.

Afghan leg-break googly man Rashid Khan will need to get three more wickets to become the fastest fifty T20I wicket-taker in terms of time and also the second fastest in terms of matches played.

Bangladesh XI: Tamim Iqbal, Liton Kumar Das, Shakib Al Hasan (captain), Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah Riyad, Sabbir Rahman, Mosaddek Hossain, Rubel Hossain, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Nazmul Islam and Abu Jayed.

Afghanistan XI: Mohammad Shahzad, Usman Ghani, Asghar Stanikzai (captain), Shafiqullah, Najibullah Zadran, Mohammad Nabi, Samiullah Shenwari, Rashid Khan, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Karim Janat and Dawlat Zadran.
