Age limit for govt jobs recommended to 35

Parliament Correspondent: Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Public Administration has recommended to extend the age limit for government jobs to 35, raising from 30.
The committee also made recommendations to increase age limit of retirement for government job holders to 65.
The committee urged the Public Administration Ministry to take effective steps to implement the recommendations soon.
HN Ashiqur Rahman, chief of the parliamentary watchdog, presided over the meeting held at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban on Wednesday. Committee members ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury, RAM Obaidul Muktadir Chowdhury, Advocate Mustafa Lutfullah, Khorshed Ara Haque and MD Abdullah and officials concerned were present in the meeting.
After the meeting, Advocate Mustafa Lutfullah said the proposal of extending age limit of entering government jobs was under consideration for long days. The committee recommended to extend the age limit of entering government jobs to 35 and retirement age limit to 65 after a deliberate discussion in this regard in meeting. The recommendations will be implemented during the tenure of the incumbent government.
