Akifa murder: Driver among 3 sued

Kushtia Correspondent: A murder case was filed against three people, including a bus driver and its owner, in connection with the death of a baby girl named Akifa in a road accident in Kushtia district.

Harun-or-Rashid, father of the victim filed the case with Kushtia Model police station around 11:00pm on Thursday.

Bus driver Khokon, supervisor Yunus and the owner of the bus Joynul Abedin were made accused in the case.

Earlier on Tuesday noon, Akifa, a one-year-old daughter of Harunur Rashid received injuries after she fell from her mother Rina Akter’s lap when a bus hit the mother in the town. Later, the baby girl died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Thursday.

Confirming the matter, Nasir Uddin, OC of Kushtia model police station said the case was filed on charge of reckless driving.
