'All churches under CCTV surveillance'

Staff Correspondent: Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Md Asaduzzamman Miah said that special security measures have been taken centering Christmas Day in Dhaka.

The DMP commissioner came up with the disclosure after visiting a church at Tejgaon Catholic Church in the capital on Monday.

He said that Christmas Day is the largest religious festival of Christians. The day is observed through many celebrations and programmes. That’s why archway and search gates were set up at entry gates of churches.

A total of 65 churches in Dhaka Metropolitan are under closed circuit television (CCTV) surveillance now, he added.
