Arrest warrant against dead person!

Staff Correspondent: An arrest warrant issued against a man in Rajshahi is still remaining unsettled after three years of his death.

The unfortunate person is known as Abdus Salam of Shaympur Noparha village of the district's Durgapur upazila.

Deceased's son Shahinul Islam alleged that Sarwar Hossain, the then constable of Durgapur Police Station, did not register the death certificate even after taking bribery. As a result, the warrant was issued against his dead father.

Constable Sarwar Hossain was transferred to Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) much earlier. He is currently on duty at Metropolitan court. Shahinul filed a complainant against him to the RMP Commissioner on Friday.
