Arrest will continue: ACC chairman

Staff Correspondent: Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Chairman Iqbal Mahmud has said that the ACC will not become inactive rather than it will continue arrest of corrupts.
The ACC boss said this while talking to the journalists about ‘Govt Service Act -2018’ at the ACC headquarters in the city on Monday.
Government Service Act-2018 was approved on 20 August in a Cabinet meeting. There is a provision for approval of authorities concerned to arrest government officials and employees accused of criminal offenses.
When journalists asked about the question, Iqbal Mahmud said, the ACC will not be active and arrests will not stop. When it will be needed it will arrest corrupted persons.
