Attack on Annie’s Laxmipur residence

Laxmipur Correspondent: BNP leader Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie has alleged activists of ruling party student wing Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) have attacked his residence in Laxmipur district.

BCL men on Wednesday afternoon attacked his residence at Godown Road in the town, he added.

The BNP leader said several hundred BCL activists led by district unit general secretary Ziaul Karim Nishan attacked Annie’s house while the local BNP leaders were holding a views-change meeting there.

BCL, however, denied the allegation and said the attack was carried out by BNP men over the factional clash.

Annie, the central publicity secretary of BNP, was not present at that time.
