Attack attempt on RAB check post: 5 bombs recovered

Staff Correspondent: A total of five bombs were seized from a bag of the motorcyclist, who was gunned down by Rapid Action Battalion (ARB) personnel as he tried to penetrate a check post in Khilgaon area of Dhaka early Saturday.

RAB-3 Commanding Officer (CO) Tuhin Mohammad Masud said three bombs were seized from the youth's bag and two more bombs found in suicidal vest.

Bomb disposal unit of RAB is destroying the bombs now, he added.

The suspected militant was declared dead after the check-post team opened fire.

The attack came a day after a man blew himself up at an RAB camp near Dhaka’s international airport, wounding two policemen.
