Awami League leader dies of coronavirus

A senior leader of Moulvibazar district Awami League has died of coronavirus in Dhaka.

He died at a hospital in the city on Monday evening.

He was suffering from fever, cold and cough.

Moulvibazar Civil Surgeon Dr Towhid Ahmed said the leader used to reside in Gulshan area of the city.

Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) informed the civil surgeon that he tested positive for coronavirus.

He was 58 years old. He left behind his wife, a son and a host of relatives to mourn his death.

He was the founder president of Moulvibazar district Sramik League.
