BB sends notice for removal of Farmers Bank MD

Economic Correspondent: The letter Bangladesh Bank (BB) has issued a notice asking why managing director (MD) AKM Shamim of The Farmers Bank Limited would not be removed within seven days from his post.

According to the section 46 of Bank Company Act, the notice was sent to the bank on Sunday night. 

The letter was served as the managing director failed to manage liquidity of the bank. Besides, the banks continued its alleged load distribution avoiding direction of the central bank.
