BCB ready to leave Mirpur stadium for makeshift hospital

The whole world is currently is facing crisis to give medical support for coronavirus infected patients. So, many countries are making makeshift hospitals to provide medical services to infected people.

Many top level football clubs in Brazil left their stadiums for makeshift hospitals to fight back against the coronavirus outbreak.

Not only Brazil, our neighbouring country’s authority Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also offered Eden Gardens’ indoor facility and the players dormitory to the West Bengal government to create a temporary medical facility to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.

Besides, India has taken preparations to make makeshift hospitals in many indoor stadiums in the country.

In this circumstances, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) also announced to leave Sher-e- Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Mirpur to create temporary hospital for coronavirus infected patients.

When asked, BCB Director and Media Committee Chairman Jalal Yunus said the cricket board is always ready to give the stadium without delay if the government wants it.

Over mobile phone said Coronavirus is national crisis. We need to work together to fight against it. We must give the stadium for hospital if the situation worsens and the government wants it. Though we have yet not received any instruction like this. But we will take the chance if it comes.

Mentionable, now news cases of coronavirus was detected in the country for last two days.
