BCL activist killed in Sylhet infighting

Staff Correspondent, Selhet: An activist of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) has been killed over internal feud in Sylhet.
The incident took place at Uposhohor area of the city around 5:00pm on Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Hussain Al-Zahid, 16, son of Abul Kalam of Road no. 33 in Uposhohor area. He was a student of class-9 of local Simantic school and activist of BCL Sumon group.
Former Social welfare secretary of the district BCL Jakaria Mahmud group is involved in the incident, Sumon group leaders claimed.
According to local sources, Zahid was attacked in front of Tibbia college while he was walking through the road, leaving him seriously injured. He was rushed Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College and Hospital where he was declared dead by the physicians.
Akhter Hossain, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shah Poran Police Station of the city, confirmed the news.
