BCL expels 5 activists over clashes at Madhur Canteen

Staff Correspondent: Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) has expelled its five members for their alleged involvement in the clashes at Madhur Canteen amid protests over announcement of a new central committee of the ruling Awami League's student wing.
Of them, one has been permanently expelled while the rest four have been handed down temporary expulsion, according to a statement of BCL central executive council on Monday night.
Two others have been issued show cause notices. They have been asked to explain within three days why action should not be taken against them for violating the organisation's discipline.
The expelled are Salman Sadik (permanently), Gazi Mursalin Anu, Sazzadul Kabir, Kazi Siam and Jarin Dia.
