BCL secretary of IU unit arrested

Rakibul Islam Rakib, general secretary of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL)’s Islami University (IU) unit, has been arrested.

Police arrested him from Kushtia town on Friday night under Digital Security Act.

According to police, another BCL leader Jewel Rana Halim filed the case against Rakib on November 2 under Digital Security Act for posting a provocative status on social media platform Facebook.

He will be place on court on Saturday, the police also said.
