BGB man among 2 killed in Jessore road crash

Staff Correspondent, Jessore: Two people including a member of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) were killed in separate road accidents in Jessore on Tuesday.

The deceased were identified as BGB Lance Nayek Mafizul Islam, 30 and a woman named Amena Begum, 70.

Sources said that the BGB man was killed in a road accident on Jessore-Benapole highway in Hazirali area.

Besides, Amena Begum, wife of Sattar was killed when a Jessore-bound train hit her in railway slam around 1:00pm.

Confirming the matter, Abu Saleh Masud, officer-in-charge of Jhikargacha Police Station said that the bodies were sent to Jessore Medical College morgue for autopsy.
