BIWTA shuts down all water transport services

Staff Correspondent: Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) has ordered a halt to all inland water transport services across the country due to bad weather.
Nazrul Islam Misha, Public Relation Officer, BIWTC confirmed the matter to risingbd.com on Saturday noon.
He said, "All types of launch, steamer and water vessels were shut due to inclement weather. The order will continue until further notice."
Besides, hundreds of vehicles were waiting at Patuaria-Daulatdia, Kathalbari-Shimulia Ghat to cross the river.
