BNP announces fresh programmes

Senior Correspondent: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has announced fresh programmes demanding the party chairperson Khaleda Zia’s release from jail.

The programmes include leaflet distribution, protest programme and rally at several divisional towns.

BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed came up with the announcement at a press briefing at the party’s Nayapaltan central office on Wednesday afternoon.

He said, “The party will distribute leaflets across the country on April 1 demanding unconditional release for BNP Chairperson and mother of democracy Khaleda Zia. The party will observe protest programme across the country on April 3.”

Besides, BNP will hold rally at Rajshahi on April 4, at Barisal on April 7 and at Sylhet on April 10, Rizvi said.

Earlier, the party also observed protest rally, human chain, sit-in, strike and submitting memorandum to the district administrators demanding Khaleda Zia’s release.
