BNP brings out procession in city, several held

Senior Correspondent: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) brought out processions across the country including Dhaka city for second day demanding the party chairperson Khaleda Zia.
A procession was brought out from the lane of House Building of Old Nayapaltan on Saturday noon. The procession led by BNP Standing Committee member Mirza Abbas and Vice-Chairman Barkat Ullah Bulu ended at Fakirapool intersection.
BNP leaders and activists chanted various slogans from the procession demanding immediate release of the party chief Khaleda Zia.
However, law enforces chased the activists from behind while the procession reached Water Tank area of Bijaynagar and held several men from there.
Of the detainees, Metropolitan (South) BNP Vice-President Nabiullah Nabi, former joint secretary of Metropolitan (South) Juba Dal Mizanur Rahman were known immediately.
Khaleda Zia’ adviser Joynal Abedin Faruk, BNP's organising secretary Fazlul Haque Milon, its publicity affairs secretary Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie, BNP leader Mostafizur Rahman Babul and other top leaders attended the procession.
