'BNP disappointed after PM’s declaration over quota'

Staff Correspondent, Narayanganj: Awami League (AL) general secretary, also Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said BNP became disappointed after being failed in conspiracy over quota reform movement.

He said, “BNP became frustrated with London conspiracy over quota movement after Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s bold declaration. A vested quarter wanted to catch fish in the spoiled water over quota reform movement of university students and job seekers.

The Minister told this to the reporters while visiting construction works of flyover at Bhulta of Rupganj upazila of the district on Friday noon.

Construction works of two flyovers worth Tk 240 crore are running at Bhulta Commercial area on Dhaka-Sylhet and Dhaka-Chattogram highways.

“Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina made a timely declaration over quota system. Cancellation of the quota system was the only proper decision to take new decision in this regard. So, PM took the proper decision. For this, a committee led by the cabinet secretary will verify it," he added.
