BNP leader Sohel on remand

Staff Correspondent: BNP Joint Secretary General Habib-un-Nabi Sohel has been put on one–day remand in a vandalism and arson case.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Abdullah Al Masud granted the remand on Tuesday after Investigation Officer of the case SI Muhammad Saiful Islam Khan sought 10 days remand.

Earlier on Monday evening, Sohel was allegedly picked up by the Detective Branch of Police from the jail gate immediately after releasing from jail.

On October 9, Sohel was sent to jail as he surrendered before a court. Sohel, who was on the run with arrest warrants in 110 cases.
