‘BNP progenitor of democracy killing’

Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader has termed BNP as progenitor of democracy killing.

He said, “BNP is a party that is involved in killing country’s democracy. It had tried to kill democracy different times since the liberation. So, the term ‘democracy’ does not go with the party.”

The Road Transport and Bridges Minister said this while speaking at a ‘victory day of democracy’ rally held at the capital’s Bangabandhu Avenue on Monday. 

“The party is celebrating December 30, the day when 11th general election was held, is celebrating as ‘black day’ because of its heartburning, sadness and despair,” Quader said.
