BNP rally begins

SK Reza Parves, Ahmed Nur from Suhrawardy Udyan: BNP has formally started its rally at Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital on the occasion of “National Revolution and Solidarity Day”.

The rally began with the recitation from the holy Quran around 1:30pm on Sunday.

Leader and activists of BNP have been gathering at the venue since Sunday morning and still coming.

During the rally, Chairperson Khaleda Zia will send out an important message to party rank and file about the next polls and the party's 'ongoing movement for restoration' of people's democratic rights.

The BNP chief is scheduled to attend the rally around 3:00pm, said party chairperson's media wing member Shairul Kabir Khan

The BNP claims that they are facing a lot of sufferings to reach the rally spot as bus services from nearby districts have suddenly been halted ahead of the rally at Dhaka’s Suhrawardy Udyan.

BNP activists are entering into the Suhrawardy Udyan in procession brought out from Shahbagh, Kakrail, Khamarbari, TSC intersection, Fishery Building, Dowel Square, Palashi areas.

Moreover, leaders and activists across the country reached Dhaka to join the rally. Meanwhile, reported transport crisis hit Dhaka and other regions of country ahead of the rally.
