BNP seeks pre-9th general election situation

Staff Correspondent: BNP has made demand to the election commissioners to arrange the upcoming general election like the fair and neutral one held before the ninth national parliament.

BNP Standing Committee Member Dr Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain came up with the demand while talking to reporters after an hour-long meeting with Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda in the capital's Agargaon on Sunday afternoon.

Khandaker Mosharraf said the CEC has been requested to create a level playing field before the upcoming national election.

Other election commissioners Mahbub Talukder, Rafiqul Islam, Begum Kabita Khanam, Brig Gen (retd) Shahadat Hossain Chowdhury and EC secretary Muhammad Abdullah were present with the CEC during the meeting.

BNP Standing Committee Member Abdul Moeen Khan and Captain (retd) Sujauddin were present at the meeting.
