'BNP to take streets at appropriate time'

Senior Correspondent: BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir vowed that his party would take to the streets at an appropriate time.

He said, “There is no option but to take to the streets. BNP was on the streets in the past and will do the same again to wage a tough movement against the ruling Awami League. We will fight on the streets until the last drop of our blood to materialise the dream of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman, the founder of BNP.”

The BNP stalwart made the disclosure while addressing a book launching ceremony at Institution of Engineers’ Bangladesh in the capital on Saturday.

Pro-BNP journalist Abdul Hye Sikdar wrote the books—Jotirmoy Zia [enlightened Zia] and Kalomegher Dal [Black Cloud].
