BNP won’t participate in election except Khaleda’s release

Cumilla Correspondent: BNP standing committee member Goyeshwar Chandra Roy said that their party will not participate in the next general election except the party chairperson Khaleda Zia’s release from jail.

He said, “Khaleda Zia must have to be released before the next election. The election will have to be non-party and neutral, ensuring voting rights for people. Otherwise, BNP will not participate in the polls.”

He also warned the party leaders and activists not to think over election except the party chairperson.

The BNP stalwart came up with the statement while speaking at a programme at Pashapur of the district’s Laksam on Friday evening.
