BNP’s 4 more MPs-elect take oath

Parliament Correspondent: BNP’s four other MPs-elect have taken oath as members of the 11th National Parliament.

Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury administered the oath on Monday noon.

The four BNP MPs are – Harun-ur Rashid Harun (Chapainawabganj-3), Aminul Islam (Chapainawabganj-2), Advocate Abdus Sattar (Brahmanbaria-2) and Mosharraf Hossain (Bogura-4). 

After taking the oath, they signed the parliament secretariat office signature book.

Senior secretary Dr Zafar Ahmed Khan conducted the oath-taking ceremony. Jatiya Sangsad Chief Whip Nur-e-Alam Chowdhury, Whip Iqbalur Rahim and Md Jahidur Rahman attended the function.

Earlier, Zahidur Rahman Zahid (Thakurgaon-3) took oath as MP in a surprise move. However, BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir did not take the oath.
