BRAC university student drowns in Cox's Bazar

Cox's Bazar Correspondent: A student of BRAC University drowned while taking sea-bath with friends in Laboni Point of Bay near Cox’s Bazar beach on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Iftekhar Alam Abir, 22, a fourth year student of BBA of the university.
Khandakar Fazle Rabbi, Additional police super of Cox’s Bazar Tourist Police confirmed the matter.
Quoting Abir's friends, Fazle Rabbi said that the victim and his friends were taking bath on Laboni Point around 8:00am. At one stage, Abid drowned.
Later, tourist polices and Sea Safe Lifeguard members rescued him and took to Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital where duty doctors pronounced him dead.
The body was kept at Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital morgue, he added.
