Ban on student politics at BUET demanded

There is no need of student politics on the campus of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).

Students’ Welfare Advisor of BUET Prof Dr Md Mizanur Raman came up with the demand on Tuesday.

He said this after joining the students’ demonstration for some demands including arrest of all accused in Abrar Fahad murder case and their immediate punishment.

“There is a debate about student politics in Bangladesh  as every time something terrible happens because of it, so I think the government should ban  student politics at all educational institutions including BUET”, he said.

Students of BUET continued their demonstrations on Tuesday and vowed to continue their protests until their demands are met within October 11.
