Banani fire: 6-member probe committee formed

Senior Correspondent: A six-member committee has been formed to investigate the Banani fire incident that killed 19 people at FR Tower in the capital.

Dr Torun Kanti Shikdar, Additional secretary of security service division, Ministry of Home Affairs, was made convener of the Probe body.   

The other members include- fire service and civil defense decorate director general, representatives of Dhaka North City Corporation, Gulshan zone deputy-police commissioner and home ministry security service department deputy secretary Mohammad Masudur Rahman Bhuiyan.  

The investigation committee will have to submit the report to home ministry after proper investigation.
