Bangladesh Bank fire caused losses worth Tk 80 lakh

Economic Correspondent: Bangladesh Bank's (BB) spokesperson Subhankar Saha said that the loss caused by fire is estimated worth Tk 80 lakh.

Subhankar Saha made the disclosure while addressing a press conference at Bangladesh Bank Bhaban on Wednesday afternoon.

He said that the authority submitted their probe report over fire on Tuesday. The loss from the fire was around Tk 80 lakh.

Earlier, on Thursday night, the fire originated on the 13th floor of Bangladesh Bank building. Twelve firefighting teams doused the blaze within an hour with no reports of casualties.

Later, two separate committees were formed to probe the fire incident.
