Staff Correspondent: Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid said, “Bangladesh is a role for the least developed countries in education sector. No one will be allowed to stop the progress. We will able to lead the world someday.”
The minister made the assertion while addressing an inaugural ceremony at Azimpur Govt. Girls School in the capital on Tuesday morning.
Expressing the greetings of New Year, the minister said, “Today is a joyous day for us. It’s a day of creating history too. There is no such example of huge number of free book distribution. We have achieved success here.”
“We are distributing books to the students on January 1 every year since 2010. We are moving forward with huge potentiality. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is leading Bangladesh to implement the new potentiality,” he said.
Education secretary Sohrab Hossain presided over the programme where top officials of the ministry attended.
