Tofail Ahmed made the opinion while addressing a discussion at national press club in the capital on Thursday.

Once upon a time, we earned 300 million dollar through export which is now 41 billion. Per-capita earning was 70 dollar which is now over 2,000 USD.  We will be 29th economic country by 2030 and 23rd by 2050.”

The former commerce minister said, “Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibar Rahman spent and fought his whole life aiming two targets- independence and hunger-poverty free Bangladesh.
