Sport Correspondent: Bangladesh clinched the World T20I Qualifiers’ title after beating Ireland by 25 runs in the final in the Netherlands’s Utrecht on Saturday.
Winning toss, Bangladesh scored 122 runs losing nine wickets in their stipulated 20 overs.
Ayasha Rahman scored 46 off 42 deliveries. She made four boundaries and two over boundaries. Besides, Farzana Haque scored 17 runs while Shamima Sultana took 16 runs.
In reply, Ireland women managed to score 97 runs losing all wickets in 18.4 overs.
Bangladesh pacer Panna Ghosh claimed bagged 5 wickets giving 16 runs only while, Rumana Ahmed and Nahida took two wickets respectively.
The 2018 ICC Women's World Twenty20 will be hosted in the West Indies from 9 to 24 November.
