Banks to remain open on June 30

Economic Correspondent: Branches concerned of all scheduled banks will remain open on the weekly holiday on Saturday (June 30) to facilitate government transactions, including revenue collection, at the end of the current fiscal year.

Bangladesh Bank (BB) issued necessary instructions to the scheduled banks to this effect on Wednesday.

The instruction was signed by Sirajul Islam, deputy general manager of central bank’s department of Off-site supervision.
