Better polls to be held in three cities: HT Imam

Staff Correspondent: HT Imam, political adviser to Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, has said polls in Gazipur and Khulna city corporations were good. The upcoming elections in three cities (Rajshahi, Barisal and Sylhet) would be better. We will try to arrange polls in more fair manners gradually.

He told this to the reporters after emerging from a meeting with the Election Commission (EC) held at the Election Bhaban at the captial’s Agargaon on Wednesday afternoon.

HT Imam said, “The EC is holding polls in fair manners. We came to the commission to ask how we can assist them to hold elections in free, fair and neutral manners.”
