Biman cancells all flights on Dhaka-Rajshahi for 4 days

Staff Correspondent, Rajshahi: Biman Bangladesh Airlines has suspended all flights for four days on Dhaka-Rajshahi domestic route due to plane shortage after accident in Myanmar.

Setafur Rahman, Manager of Hazrat Shah Makhdum Airport, Rajsahi, said Biman Bangladesh cancelled all flights since Friday.

He, however, could not tell the flights were cancelled.

When asked, Ramendra Chowdhury, commercial assistant of sales office of the airport said, “All flights for May 10, 11, 12 and 14 were cancelled. However, flights will run on May 13.”

He said, “The Dash-8 plane, which crashed at Yangon airport last week, had been plying to Myanmar, Nepal, Kolkata and on domestic routes. The national flag carrier has been facing aircraft shortage since one of the accident.”
