Biman’s 2nd Dreamliner ‘Hansabalaka’ joins today

Staff Correspondent: Biman Bangladesh Airlines is going to add a new Boeing 787-8   Dreamliner ‘Hansabalaka’ to its fleet today (Saturday).

The airlines public relation wing sources said that the ownership of the Boeing was handed over on Thursday (November 29). The latest technology aircraft is scheduled to land at Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 4:30pm.

Biman Bangladesh Airlines director (flight operation) captain Farhat Hasan Jamil officially received the aircraft from the Boeing Manufacturer Company. Meanwhile, Jon Barber, Boeing’s director of delivery contract, deputy managing director (Middle East and South Asia) Ehsen Rajput attended the function.

Earlier, a total of 32-member team comprised of top officials from Biman, ministry of civil aviation and tourism, law ministry, parliament secretariat and civil aviation authority of Bangladesh went to USA to receive the second Dreamliner. The addition will bring the number of aircraft in the national airlines’ fleet to 15.
