Bir Protik Taramon Bibi passes away

Kurigram Correspondent: Freedom Fighter Bir Protik Taramon Bibi has passed away at her house in Shangkar Madhabpur village of Rajibpur upazila in Kurigram.
She was 62.
The war heroine, who had been suffering from respiratory problems, breathed her last around 1:27am on Friday, her son Abu Taher confirmed.
Abu Taher said, her mother received treatment at the Combined Military Hospital, Dhaka last month as her condition had deteriorated.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today expressed deep shock at the demise of Freedom Fighter Bir Protik Taramon Bibi.
She will be buried at Kacharipara Taltola graveyard in Rajibpur upazila with state honour on Saturday noon, said Sultan Parvin, deputy commissioner of the district.
Taramon Bibi had fought in Sector 11 under the leadership of sector commander Abu Taher.
