Brother and sister drown in Gaibandha

Gaibandha Correspondent: Two children who were brother and sister drowned at Gobindaganj upazila of the district on Tuesday noon.
This incident took place around 12.30pm at Bristipur village under Talukkanupur union of the upazila.
The deceased were identified as Muchha Mia (7) and Ria Moni (6).
Muchha was the son of Majnu Mia of the village and Ria was the daughter of Enamul Haque of the same village. They were cousins.
Talukkanupur Union Parishad (UP) Chairman Atiqur Rahman said that Muchha and Ria were playing at the pond near the house at noon. At that time they fell into the pond and drowned in the water.
At one stage of search, locals recovered the bodies of two children from the pond.
