Bullet-hit body of Ansar man found in Tongi

Staff Correspondent, Gazipur: Police recovered a bullet-hit body of an Ansar member from Tongi of Gazipur on Saturday night.

The deceased was identified as Junayed Ahmed, 25.

Sub-Inspector Ashraful of Tongi police station said that the Ansar man was on duty in a warehouse of National Curriculum and Textbook Board in Morkun area of Tongi around 10:00pm. Later, he went to a nearby lavatory around 11:00pm.

At one stage, a sound of bullet firing came from the lavatory. The colleagues of Junayed rushed to the spot and found him dead. 

"Junayed might be committed suicide using his own rifle, according to primary investigation. However, investigation is underway in this regard," SI said.
