Bus collision kills 2 in Patiya

Staff Correspondent, Chattogram: Two people were killed in 16 others were injured in a head-on collision between two buses at Nimtola Majhar area on Dhaka-Cox’s Bazar highway of the district’s Patiya upazila on Friday noon.

The victims could not be identified immediately.

Mizanur Rahman, In-Charge of Patiya highway police outpost, confirmed the news to risingbd.

He said two buses collided head-on while crossing each other, leaving two killed on the spot and 16 of both bus passengers injured. The injured were taken to Chattogram Medical College and Hospital. Of them, several were in critical state.

Police seized both of the buses, he added.
