Bus-human hauler collision kills 3 in Tangail

Staff Correspondent: At least three people were killed and four others injured in a collision between a bus and human hauler in Pakutia area of Ghatail upazila on Monday noon.

Of the deceased, two were identified as Shamsul Haque 52, driver of the human hauler and son of late Aziz at Jhunkail Nawapara village under Ghatail upazila, and Korim Shyamol, 32, son of Ifnus at Biara village of Ghatail upazila.

The accident took place around 12:00pm when a passenger bus hit a human hauler coming from opposite direction, leaving one person dead on the spot and six others injured, said Masudul Haque, officer-in-charge of Ghatail Police Station.

The injured were rushed to Tangail General Hospital where Shyamol and another unidentified person succumbed to their injuries, added he.
