Bus kills SI in city

Staff Correspondent: A Sub-Inspector (SI) of Police was killed as a bus ran over him at Rainkhola in the capital’s Mirpur on Sunday afternoon.
The deceased was known as Uttam Kumar, SI of Rupnagar Police Station under the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).
Sheuly, SI of Shah Ali Police Station, confirmed the news.
She said, “An Eagle Paribahan bus ran over Uttam while he was driving motorbike, leaving him dead on the spot.”
“The body was sent to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital for autopsy,” she added.
Police seized the bus and held its driver after the incident.
